Product Details

September 30th marks Orange Shirt Day, a day of remembrance and respect to honour the students and survivors of Canada's Residential School system.

On this day, Canadians are encouraged to wear an orange shirt to show their support for survivors and pay respects to those who did not make it.

This years shirt is designed by Coast Salish artist Simone Diamond. This unique Coast Salish art design features Mother Bear with her two cubs. The canoe on the bottom represents the Journey of motherhood and the role this plays in Indigenous communities. Learn more about this design by watching our YouTube video ""

“The journey of healing empowers
us to reclaim and repair
our identity through love,
courage and self-determination.”

- Simone Diamond, Coast Salish

Native Northwest will be donating proceeds from Every Child Matters Orange Shirt Day products to the Native Northwest Reconciliation Fund to support people and families who continue to be impacted by Residential Schools and intergenerational trauma.

At Dilly Dally, we will be donating 100% of our profit from the sale of these shirts to the same organizations.

Thank you for supporting Orange Shirt Day.
